(Updated Photos) Carl and Deb Accept South Africa Calls
UPDATE: A few more photos of the trip. See below. — Carl and Deb have both received and accepted calls to serve at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa. Deb will serve as the Director for the Diaconal Program. Carl will serve as a Theological Educator and Academic Associate to the Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Southern Africa. Deb, Ted and Carl visited Pretoria, South Africa on February 23 – March 4 and had a great trip. When Carl gets more organized, he will post some more photos. Deb and Carl start work with LCMS World Mission on June 30, and hope to raise enough support funds to be in South Africa by January 2011. Update: Lady Cardinals in National Tournament
Update: CUAA Women’s Basketball played a good game on March 10, but lost 83-70 to Daemen College. Daemen had a hot first half leading 48-22 at half time. CUAA made up many of the points during the second half, but not enough for a win. More details of the season and game are at http://www.concordiacardinals.com/article/1156.php. Congratulations to the CUAA Woemn’s Baskatball team who were ranked 22nd in the nation in the NAIA Women Basketball Division II. Their first game in the national tournament is on Thursday, March 10 at 5:15 pm Eastern.
