Carl Rockrohr was born May 30th, 1962, to Rev. David and Mrs. Jane Rockrohr. He is the eldest son of four Rockrohr boys, Tim, Peter and Dan. After Rev. David Rockrohr’s first call to teach at Concordia College in Portland, OR., the Rockrohr family moved to Milwaukee where Rev. David Rockrohr served as pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church from 1967-1993. David and Jane currently reside in Wauwatosa, WI.
Deborah Rockrohr (David and Carol Roth currently of Jackson, MO) was born August 26, 1962 and grew up in southern Illinois and south-east Missouri in Cape Girardeau. She and her older and younger brothers, David and Dan, all graduated from St. Paul Lutheran High School and Jr. College of Concordia, Missouri. She completed the Deaconess Program at Concordia University Chicago in 1984. She studied further at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis where she received a Master of Arts in Religion degree in 1986. She and Carl met at the seminary and they were married on May 23rd, 1987.
Carl is called as an Assistant Professor of Religion and also serves as the Coordinator of General Studies at Concordia University Ann Arbor. www.cuaa.edu
Deb is called as a LC-MS rostered deaconess and serves as Vice President of the Concordia Deaconess Conference. This conference is a professional organization of deaconesses of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod. Deb is studying for her Doctorate of Education Higher Education Leadership through Regent University. Deb’s deaconess ministry is serving as the organist for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills, MI.
Carl and Deb have four children, Paul, Jim, Becky and Ted.
Paul is a senior in the Pre-seminary program at Concordia University Wisconsin. He is working with the CUW Maintenance Dept in summer of 2010.
Jim is a junior majoring in history at Concordia University Wisconsin and is a resident assistant at CUW. He attended Officer Candidate School of the U.S. Marines in July-August 2009. Also working with maintenance in summer 2010.
Becky just graduated from Lutheran High School Westland in Westland, MI. She was the co-captain of the Westland cheerleading squad. (See Cheer Team video on photo and video page.) Becky is a freshman at CUW (Yes, three Rockrohr children at CUW at once! ) in the advanced Business Scholars program in which a BA and MBA can be earned in 4 years total. Also working with maintenance summer 2010.
Ted is a 6th grader at Concordia Lutheran School in Farmington Hills and Redford, MI. He enjoys soccer, basketball and track.
