Siberian Trip 2008 Photo Essay Posted
In June-July 2008 I traveled to six different locations in Siberia with the “Summer Lectures” hosted by the Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church, assisted by Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne. There are about 12 slides at the beginning explaining some history of the Lutheran church in Russia and Siberia with 110 photos more of the people and the places I experienced. The Lutherans in Siberia were great hosts and it was a trip I will never forget! The page is under the Photos and Video tab.
VA Beach and Regent University
Deb has been a full-time graduate student since Aug. 2009 in the Ed. D. Higher Education Leadership program at Regent University in Virginia Beach. Most of the courses are online (and intense!), but several times she does need to spend time on campus. She and I are in VA Beach for her course work July 11-16. There are several more photos on the Photos and Video page.
2010 Cheer Team Video
I posted the last competitive stunt routine of Becky’s 2009-2010 Cheer team from Lutheran High Westland on the Photos and Video page. They were quite good! Becky was the Co-Captain.
Miss Michigan at CUAA Veterans’ Day
I will get more photos up, but this was cool. Miss Michigan spoke at our Veterans’ Day event and Deb and I got a photo with her. (Of course the two ladies were ready for the photo, and I was not!)
New Hymn by David Roth II
My brother-in-law, David Roth II, of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, MO has written a new hymn. Check it out on the church web site. The lyrics and a YouTube recording are there.

More Homecoming Pics
Ok! I got into trouble for not getting pics of the dressed up couple online! Mea culpa!
Homecoming 2009 Lutheran High Westland
September 25 was the Homecoming football game with the dance on the 26th. Becky was very busy during all the activities as a co-captain of the Cheer Team. Westland took an early lead and won the game. Nice flowers from brothers Paul and Jim, Becky really liked them!
Becky’s 18th B-day and Ted’s Soccer
What a day! Ted plays his first soccer game with Concordia Knights Lutheran School of Farmington Hills/Redford, MI. This is the combined school’s first year and first game as well. Go Knights! Link to school website.
Becky is 18!! Dad and Mom can’t believe it. Grandma Roth made a special favorite, fried chicken, mashed potatos, gravy (Becky’s fav!) , fried okra and Missouri grown, hand-picked, homemade blackberry cobbler. Wow!
